Behind this seemingly simple statement, is a whole world of deeper understanding that I have dedicated the last 40 years of my life to revealing. My existential crisis happened at the height of my advertising career. Everything was perfect until it wasn’t. I had undergone a series of big events in my life that had painfully challenged my ability to reconcile events gone wrong. My kids’ mother had passed unexpectedly and left a gulf of emotional challenge. Then when my second marriage failed, my despair consumed me, and I knew I needed answers that would help me understand my emotional failures. And then I met the most extraordinary visionary educator of our time, a woman who had reinvented education for the 21^st century and she changed my life forever.
